In-Text Citation for more than one author in MLA format?

I know that in MLA format, you cite two authors as (__________ and _________ page number). within the text. However, do these authors have to be listed alphabetically? They are not listed alphabetically on the cover on my book on anywhere else within this. If you know the answer, please try to list a source. Thanks!
