Why do most adult christians not believe strongly in Santa Claus.?

Santa Claus was christian, utilized powerful magics, lives in a place undetectable by mere mortals, and gives gifts to humanity. These are the very same characteristics of your deity--why is it that most of you quit believing in those magics at 8 or 9?
