Does this Nightmare mean anything?

I had this dream a while ago when I was younger but it still kind of bothers me because of the imagery and gets to me once in a while... Im with a friend and this person or witch or something who is I ume possesed and Im screaming at him to get away from them but he doesn't and this person starts killing him so I run into this house and down into the basement where I see these people getting hung by the neck from the banisters but the house is now like maze and no matter how hard I try I can't find my way out and its dark and the person is coming for me and Im I know Im all alone. Im no sure if this means anything but Im just really curious and when I had it I wasn't like watching any horror movies prior or anything scary like that..
