Is this anti-Buffalo vs Ana/Det conspiracy plausible?

Lets put it this way... if Ottawa wins Friday night (hopefully) then all of Canada will be watching them go up against either Anaheim or Detroit. If Anaheim wins that series, then people will tune in to see what new team will win. With Detroit vs. Ottawa, people will still watch to see if Ottawa either gives it to Detroit or gets whipped by the experienced team.
